  2. 1 onion
  3. 1 tomato
  4. 1 green chilli
  5. 3 table spoon ghee
  6. as per taste Salt,
  7. 1 teaspoon kashmiri chilli
  8. 1 tea spoon haldi
  9. 1/2 teaspoon jeera,
  10. 1/2 teaspoon sarso
  11. 1 pinch hing
  12. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  13. 2 sabut red chilli
  14. 1/2 teaspoon kasuri methi

Instructions to make to make Toor dal

  1. Wash & soaked dal for half an hour. Take cooker add ghee roast chopped onion, tomato & chilli.
  2. When roast proper add dry spices & soaked dal. Roast it for 2 to 3 min then add water. After 4 whistle off the flame. Dal cooked. Add garam masala & kasuri methi.
  3. Now take a pan add some ghee roast sabut red chilli jeera sarso & hing. Spread it on ready dal.
  4. Toor dal is ready for serve. The difference between simple dal & sambhar is consistency. Dal is thick & not more veggies but sambhar is in liquid form& lots of veggies.
